The United States Constitution
has seven parts, called "Articles". Each of the Articles are described in detail with a simplified summary of each of the sections together with the full text. What subjects do the seven Articles address? The following definitions provide a short, simplified summary of the Articles of the US Constitution.

  • Article 1 deals with the Legislative Branch (the Senate and the House of Representatives).

  • Article 2 deals with the powers of the Executive Branch, Congress and the Federal government.

  • Article 3 addresses the Judicial Branch,  judicial powers and the crime of treason.

  • Article 4 deals with the relationship between the states and the federal government.

  • Article 5 deals with how to amend the Constitution ( the Constitutional Amendments).

  • Article 6 deals with Supremacy, Debts and Oaths and Article 7 deals with the requirements for ratification (approval)

The
first 10 Amendments to the US Constitution are called the 'Bill of Rights' which guarantee the basic liberties to Americans. How many Amendments have been added to the US Constitution?
